About JioSaavn

JioSaavn is an Indian music streaming service formed when Saavn merged with Reliance's JioMusic in 2018. It has one of the deepest catalogues of Bollywood soundtracks and Indian music across Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and many other languages, alongside international releases, podcasts and original shows. The free tier is ad-supported, and JioSaavn Pro removes ads and adds unlimited downloads, higher audio quality and exclusive content, with a trial before billing. For Jio mobile customers it also ties into JioTunes, which sets songs as caller tunes. It is aimed at Indian listeners and the diaspora; outside India its catalogue and pricing vary, and international music selection is narrower than global services. The app has many promotions and content types competing for attention, and recommendations are considered less refined than Spotify's. It runs on the web, iOS and Android.

Best for: Listeners who mainly stream Bollywood and Indian regional music.
