About Linkurious

Linkurious is a commercial platform for exploring connected data, used mostly by banks, insurers, investigators and public agencies for fraud, anti-money-laundering and intelligence work. It sits on top of a graph database such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB or Memgraph and gives analysts a browser interface to search, expand and lay out networks of people, accounts and transactions, with geospatial and timeline views, a no-code query builder and an AI assistant. The self-managed Decision Intelligence Platform adds alerting, entity resolution and case management and can be installed on-premises or in your own cloud. A hosted Enterprise Cloud edition is priced per user per month with a 30-day free trial; the full platform is quote-only. It is far more expensive and specialised than desktop tools like Gephi, and it needs your data in a supported graph database first. The company was acquired by Nuix, the investigations software vendor.

Best for: Fraud, AML and investigation teams exploring large networks stored in a graph database.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Works with several graph databases, not just Neo4j
  • Built for team investigations with sharing, roles and exports
  • Hosted cloud or on-premises deployment
  • Alerts, entity resolution and case management in the full platform

Why people leave

  • Expensive per-user pricing; the full platform is quote-only
  • Requires data to be loaded into a supported graph database first
  • Overkill for one-off network analysis or academic use
