About Loop

Loop is an open-source window manager for macOS with a different approach to snapping. Hold a trigger key and move the mouse or trackpad in a direction, and a radial menu shows where the window will go; release to move and resize it, with an optional preview first. Keyboard shortcuts work alongside the trigger key, and 'cycles' let one shortcut or repeated click step through several sizes. A stash feature hides windows at the screen edge until you hover there or press a key. The radial menu and preview are fully themeable and can be turned off entirely if you only want shortcuts. It is free under GPL-3.0, installs from GitHub releases or Homebrew, and needs macOS 13 or later. Development is active, so features change between releases. It does not do automatic tiling or saved multi-window layouts.

Best for: Mac users who like mouse-direction gestures for window snapping.
