About Moom

Moom is a window management app from Many Tricks, a small Mac developer. Hover over a window's green button and a customisable palette appears with sizes and positions to pick; you can also snap by dragging to screen edges, use an on-screen grid, or drive everything from the keyboard. Its strength is saved layouts: arrange your windows once, save the layout, and restore it with a click or shortcut, which is handy on laptops that dock to an external display. Layouts can be tied to specific apps or apply to your most recently used windows. Custom actions can be chained together, organised in nested folders, and used as drop zones while dragging. Moom is a one-off purchase with a free trial; the licence is valid forever and includes at least a year of updates, with discounted upgrades for previous owners. It runs only on macOS. It does not tile windows automatically, and its many options take some time to set up.

Best for: Mac users who switch between display setups and want saved window layouts.
