About Meta for Mac
Meta is a paid music tag editor for the Mac, made by the small indie studio NBE Software (it has nothing to do with Meta Platforms). You load a folder of tracks, select as many as you like, and edit their tags together in a sidebar, so fixing an album's artist, year or genre takes one change instead of dozens. It can look up release details and cover art on Discogs and match the results to your tracks, rename files and build folders from tag patterns, pull tags out of file names, and run find-and-replace with patterns across tags. It reads and writes all the common formats, including MP3, FLAC, AIFF, WAV, M4A, Ogg and DSD files, and keeps the Apple Music and Doppler libraries in sync after edits. It suits DJs, people ripping vinyl and anyone with a large local collection on macOS. It is a one-time purchase, sold directly or through the Mac App Store, and it runs only on macOS.
Best for: Mac users who hand-edit tags and artwork on large local music collections.
