About Mojeek
Mojeek is a small British search engine that has built its own index from scratch rather than reusing Google or Bing results. It has crawled billions of pages over more than fifteen years and runs on its own technology, hosted in a green UK data centre. It does not track you or personalise results, so everyone sees the same results for the same query. Focus lets you restrict searches to sets of sites, and newer features include semantic search and short search summaries. Mojeek is free and supported by its own non-tracking ads, and it sells a Web Search API that other engines and AI products use. Because the index is much smaller than Google's, results can feel sparse for niche or very recent topics, but they often surface pages the big engines bury. It works in any browser.
Best for: People who want genuinely independent results and a different view of the web.
