Napkin AI takes a block of text, such as a paragraph from a report or a blog post, and suggests a range of visuals for it: flowcharts, mind maps, process diagrams, comparison graphics, timelines and data charts. You pick one, then adjust colours, icons, layout and wording in an editor, and export to PNG, SVG, PDF or PowerPoint. It is aimed at people writing documents and presentations who want clear visuals without drawing them, rather than at engineers who need precise technical diagrams. Newer additions include slide generation and an API for producing visuals at scale. A free plan with a weekly allowance of AI credits is enough for light use; paid Plus and Pro plans add more credits, premium styles and removal of Napkin branding. Results are quick and good-looking, but you have less control over structure than in a traditional editor, and generated visuals can need several attempts.
