About Plaud
Plaud sells small hardware recorders, such as the card-shaped Plaud Note, which attaches to the back of a phone, and the wearable NotePin, together with an app that transcribes recordings and produces AI summaries, mind maps and notes. The idea is capturing conversations that don't happen on a video call: in-person meetings, interviews, lectures, client visits and phone calls, at the press of a button, without opening an app. Recordings sync to the Plaud app on iPhone and Android and its web app, where you can search, ask questions and export. Each device includes a free Starter plan with a monthly allowance of transcription minutes, and Pro and Unlimited subscriptions raise or remove the cap. You need to buy the hardware first, so it is a bigger upfront cost than software notetakers, and recording people in person carries consent obligations that vary by country.
Best for: Professionals who record many in-person meetings, interviews or calls away from a computer.
