About Superwhisper

Superwhisper is a dictation app: press a shortcut, speak, and polished text appears wherever your cursor is. Custom modes reformat your speech as an email, a message, notes or a prompt for a coding agent, and it can translate other languages into English. It supports more than 100 languages and dialects, and its local voice models work offline, so dictation can stay on your device; AI formatting with cloud models needs the internet. It also records meetings on the Mac and transcribes files, and has a CLI and MCP server for agent workflows. Originally Mac-only, it now runs on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, with Linux listed as coming soon. The free tier covers everyday dictation with limited models; Pro is available monthly, yearly or as a lifetime licence and allows your own AI API keys plus unlimited cloud and local models. Configuring modes takes some tinkering.
