About POEditor
POEditor is a straightforward online translation management tool for software strings. You import files such as gettext PO, JSON, XLIFF, Android XML or iOS strings, invite translators or open the project to contributors, and export the results or sync them through GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and other integrations. It includes translation memory, machine and AI translation, AI quality checks, an API, webhooks and an official MCP server for AI assistants. Plans are priced by the number of strings rather than seats, with unlimited projects and contributors, and there is a free plan for small projects plus discounts for paying every six or twelve months. It is a good fit for indie developers and small teams who want something cheaper and lighter than Lokalise or Phrase. It lacks the design-tool integrations, review workflows and vendor management of larger platforms, and the interface looks dated.
Best for: Indie developers and small teams localizing app strings on a budget.
