About PopClip
PopClip is a macOS utility that appears as a small floating bar whenever you select text in almost any app. The bar offers actions such as copy, paste, search the web, open a link, look up a word or translate, and a large library of free extensions adds more, from sending text to note and task apps to changing case or running a shell script. You can build your own extensions too. Because it reacts to selection rather than a hotkey, it complements keyboard launchers rather than replacing them. PopClip is a paid app sold as a one-time licence, with a choice of two years of updates or lifetime updates, and each licence covers up to five Macs; it is also included in Setapp. A fully working trial starts nagging after 250 actions. It is Mac only, with no Windows or iOS version.
Best for: Mac users who often act on selected text and want one-click actions without memorising shortcuts.
