About RapidAPI for Mac (Paw)

RapidAPI for Mac is the native macOS API client that many developers still know as Paw. It has a Mac-style interface for composing requests, inspecting responses, chaining values between requests with dynamic values, generating client code in many languages and importing or exporting API descriptions such as OpenAPI (Swagger), RAML and API Blueprint. Paw was bought by RapidAPI and renamed, and RapidAPI's API business later passed to Nokia. The app is free for personal and professional use, with an optional team service for syncing projects. Its strengths are speed, polish and deep macOS integration, which made it a favourite among Mac developers for years. The big caveat is its future: the vendor now says upcoming macOS releases, including macOS 27, won't be tested or officially supported, and development has been slow. There are no Windows or Linux versions. It suits Mac developers who already rely on it, while newcomers may prefer an actively developed client.

Best for: Mac developers who want a polished native HTTP client and already use Paw.
