About Readlang
Readlang is a small, independent tool for learning through reading. You open web articles, ebooks or your own texts in its reader or through the browser extension, click any word or phrase for a translation in context, and Readlang saves it as a flashcard with the original sentence for spaced-repetition review. It also has a library of texts shared by other users, can be used by teachers to assign reading, and supports a long list of languages. The free plan allows unlimited single-word lookups and a few phrase translations a day; Premium is a cheap subscription that removes limits and adds more flashcard features. The interface is plain and there are no lessons, audio courses or speaking practice, so it is a companion to other study rather than a course. It runs in the browser on any device. Readlang suits intermediate learners who want to read real texts without constant dictionary hopping.
Best for: Intermediate learners who want to read real web texts with instant translations.
