About Renderforest

Renderforest is an online creative suite that started as a template video maker and has grown into a broader toolkit. Its core is a library of more than a thousand animated templates for intros, logo reveals, explainers, slideshows and social clips: you pick one, swap in your text, images and music, and render it in the browser. On top of that it now offers AI video generation that runs several third-party models alongside its own, plus an AI image generator, a logo maker, mockups and a simple website builder. It suits small businesses, marketers and teachers who need a polished promo or explainer without learning a timeline editor. It is less suited to editing your own long footage, where a real video editor gives far more control. There is a free plan with limits on export quality and branding, and paid subscriptions unlock higher resolutions, more AI credits and removal of the watermark. It runs on the web, with companion mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Best for: Small businesses and marketers who want template promo videos, intros and logos without editing skills.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Large template library for intros, explainers and logo animations
  • Video, logo, mockup and website tools under one subscription
  • Runs in the browser with mobile apps for quick edits

Why people leave

  • Free exports carry branding and are limited in quality
  • Template-driven, so little fine control over timing and effects
  • AI generation is credit-based, so heavy use needs a higher plan
