About Resonance

Resonance is a desktop API client positioned as a lightweight, local-first alternative to Postman and Insomnia. There is no account, cloud sync or telemetry: collections, environments and history are plain YAML files on disk, so you can version and share them with Git. It covers REST, GraphQL (including subscriptions), gRPC with server reflection, WebSocket, Server-Sent Events and MQTT. It imports OpenAPI, Swagger, Postman, Insomnia, HAR and cURL, and includes a mock server, JavaScript pre-request and test scripts with a Postman-compatible API, a collection runner and a headless CLI for CI with JUnit reports. Secrets are kept in the operating system's keychain rather than in collection files. It is built with Tauri and Rust, MIT-licensed and free, and runs on Linux, macOS and Windows. As a young project it has a small community, and team collaboration happens through Git rather than shared workspaces.

Best for: Developers who want an offline, Git-friendly API client with no sign-in.
