About SmugMug

SmugMug is a subscription photo hosting service aimed at photographers who want to store, show and sell their work. Every plan includes unlimited storage for full-resolution photos, customisable gallery websites with your own domain, privacy controls such as passwords and private galleries, and integrations with Lightroom for uploading. Higher plans add e-commerce: selling prints and downloads through partner labs, client galleries and marketing tools. The company also owns Flickr. There is no free plan, only a trial, and pricing is billed monthly or annually by tier. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. For simply backing up a family's phone photos it is more than needed and lacks the automatic organisation of Google Photos, but as a combined archive and portfolio for photographers it is well established.

Best for: Photographers who want unlimited storage and a portfolio site in one.
