About Stock Analysis

Stock Analysis (stockanalysis.com) is a market data website aimed at individual investors who want clean financial statements, valuation ratios, dividend histories, IPO calendars and screeners without a cluttered portal. Pages for each stock and ETF load quickly and show many years of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow data in plain tables. Most of the site can be used without an account, and a free account adds watchlists. The paid Pro plan removes ads and unlocks longer financial histories, more screener indicators, data exports to Excel, CSV and Google Sheets, brokerage portfolio sync, price alerts and analyst tracking, with an Unlimited tier that lifts the export, watchlist and alert caps. It's run by a small team in Iceland founded in 2019 and does not sell stock picks. It works in the browser and has mobile apps. Compared with Yahoo Finance it has less news and no community, but the fundamentals data is tidier and easier to export.

Best for: Investors who want clean fundamentals, screeners and exportable financial data for little or no cost.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Most stock, ETF and IPO data is free to view without signing up
  • Long financial statement histories laid out in readable tables
  • Pro plan is cheap and comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee
  • Exports to Excel, CSV and Google Sheets on paid plans

Why people leave

  • Pro plan limits downloads to one per day; unlimited exports need the pricier tier
  • Little original news coverage or analysis compared with larger portals
  • No charting or trading tools on the level of TradingView
