About TriNet

TriNet is one of the largest US professional employer organisations. Through its PEO, TriNet co-employs your staff and provides payroll, tax filing, benefits from large-group plans, workers' compensation, HR expertise and compliance support, with packages tailored to industries such as technology, financial services, nonprofits and life sciences. It also sells HR software and outsourced services without co-employment: TriNet bought Zenefits in 2022, and that product is now offered as the TriNet HR Platform, with HR Plus adding outsourced HR, payroll processing and payroll tax compliance. Pricing is quote-based. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. As with other PEOs, you trade some control over benefits and policies for scale and support, and costs are higher than standalone payroll; former Zenefits users should check how the product has changed under TriNet.
