About Troop Messenger

Troop Messenger is a team messaging app from India that covers one-to-one and group chat, audio and video calls, screen sharing and file sharing on an encrypted platform. Its distinguishing feature is deployment choice: alongside the cloud SaaS version, organisations can host it on their own on-premises servers, and the vendor also sells chat APIs for embedding messaging into other apps and builds tailored versions for defence, government and other sensitive sectors. Cloud plans are priced per user per month, with a Premium tier for small teams and an Enterprise tier with more calling and compliance controls, and a free seven-day trial. Apps cover web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. It suits organisations, particularly in government and regulated industries, that want a Slack-like messenger they can run on their own infrastructure.

Best for: Government and regulated organisations that want an on-premises business messenger.
