About Yandex Music
Yandex Music is the streaming service run by Yandex, the Russian internet company. It offers a large catalogue of Russian and international music plus podcasts, with a strong focus on personal recommendations through its endless My Wave stream. The full ad-free experience comes with a Yandex Plus subscription, which bundles other Yandex services, while free listening is more limited. Apps are available for iOS, Android (including RuStore and Huawei AppGallery), Windows and macOS, plus a web player, CarPlay and Android Auto, TV playback through Kinopoisk, and voice control on Yandex Station speakers with the Alice assistant. Its main audience is listeners in Russia and the CIS, where it is often the default choice and where Russian-language content is deepest. Outside those regions the service is frequently unavailable, so it rarely makes sense for listeners elsewhere. Artists and labels get their music onto the service through distribution partners rather than uploading directly.
Best for: Listeners in Russia and the CIS who want strong local catalogue and recommendations.
