Google Flow vs invideo
Updated November 2026 · AppBreakup editorial

Google Flow
Google's AI filmmaking studio for generating video clips and scenes with its Veo models.

invideo
AI video studio that pairs generative video and image models with an agent-driven timeline editor.
The short answer
Google Flow is the simpler choice for people already paying for a Google AI plan who mainly want Veo text-to-video and scene building. invideo suits creators and marketers who want several generative models plus a real multitrack editor with an AI editing agent and team collaboration. The biggest difference: Flow is a generation studio for Google's models, invideo is a full editor that bundles many models.
Google Flow or invideo: our take
Google Flow is Google's browser-based AI filmmaking studio. You describe a shot or start from an image, and it generates clips with Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni models; you can extend clips, stitch them into scenes, make images and organise characters and assets in projects. Clips are a few seconds each, so longer pieces are built clip by clip. invideo works the other way round: it is an editing studio first. Its agent logs uploaded footage and carries out edits described in plain words on a multitrack timeline you can take over by hand, and it bundles third-party models including Seedance, Veo, Kling and Nano Banana for text-to-video, image-to-video and images.
Pricing follows from that. Flow is freemium: everyone gets 50 credits per day, but non-subscribers may be blocked from video generation between 2 and 5 PM UTC, and serious use comes through Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra plans, with Pro adding 1,000 extra credits per month. invideo is paid per seat, starting at $10 per seat/month billed annually with 400 credits per seat/month on Starter. Unused invideo credits don't roll over, and some top models such as Seedance 2.5 are locked out of Starter.
invideo also covers more of the production around generation: storyboarding, an AI co-writer for scripts, voiceovers, avatars, stock footage and real-time multiplayer editing, with SOC 2 and GDPR compliance for teams that need it. Flow has added an agent for planning generations and avatars, but it is not a full editor. Both run on the web with iOS and Android support.
Pick Google Flow if you already subscribe to a Google AI plan, want direct access to Veo, and are happy finishing edits elsewhere. Pick invideo if you want to generate with several models and edit ads, social clips or explainers in one place, especially with a team.

About each app
What is Google Flow?
Google Flow is a browser-based studio from Google for making short videos with generative AI. You describe a shot, or start from an image, and Flow generates clips with Google's Veo models; you can then extend clips, stitch them into scenes, make images, and keep characters and assets organised in projects. Newer additions include an agent that helps plan and run generations, avatars, and Google's own Gemini Omni video models. Generation runs on credits. Everyone gets a small daily allowance to try it, but video generation can be limited at busy times without a subscription, and serious use means a Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra plan, which adds monthly credits and higher-quality options such as 4K upscaling on Ultra. It suits creators, marketers and filmmakers who already pay for Google's AI plans and want text-to-video without learning a separate tool. It runs on the web, with help pages for Android and iPhone use too. Output length per generation is short, so longer pieces are built clip by clip.
What is invideo?
invideo is a browser-based AI video studio. Its editing agent watches your uploaded footage, logs every clip, and carries out edits you describe in plain words, such as cutting pauses or matching a look across shots, on a real multitrack timeline you can take over at any point. It also bundles third-party generative models, including Seedance, Veo, Kling and Nano Banana, for text-to-video, image-to-video and image generation, along with storyboarding, script writing with an AI co-writer, voiceovers, avatars, stock footage and real-time multiplayer editing. Creators, marketers and small studios use it for ads, social clips, explainers and short dramas. Pricing is per seat and credit-based: Starter, Plus and Max plans include monthly credits that are spent on generations, with cheaper rates on annual billing and team and enterprise plans above that. There are also mobile apps.
