About Alma
Alma is a desktop AI client from developer yetone that puts several model providers behind one chat window. You add your own API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Azure OpenAI, OpenRouter or a custom endpoint and switch between models per conversation. Beyond chat it leans toward agent use: a memory system that carries preferences across conversations and lets you review what is stored, built-in tools for files, shell commands and web search, project workspaces, artifacts with live previews, skills and prompt apps, and MCP server support with a built-in marketplace. Keys and chat history stay on your machine; the developer says it runs no servers that process your data. The app is free to download, and you pay providers for usage. It has builds for macOS, Windows and Linux, though the site says testing has focused on Apple Silicon Macs.
Best for: People with their own API keys who want one local desktop app for several AI providers and MCP tools.
