About Automation Anywhere
Automation Anywhere is one of the largest robotic process automation vendors, competing mainly with UiPath. Its Automation 360 platform is cloud-native and lets teams build software bots with a drag-and-drop editor, or increasingly by describing the task in natural language, to automate work across desktop apps, websites and back-office systems. Around RPA it offers document automation using generative AI to extract data from invoices and forms, process discovery, an AI agent studio, an automation co-pilot that brings bots into the apps employees use, and a centre-of-excellence manager for governance. It is sold mainly to large enterprises in finance, healthcare, insurance and shared services, with pricing through sales. A free Community Edition lets students, developers and small businesses learn and build, within limits on machine count and document pages. Like other RPA tools, bots need maintenance when target applications change, and a serious programme requires skilled staff. The bot builder is accessed through the browser with agents for Windows and Mac.
