About UiPath
UiPath is the best-known robotic process automation (RPA) vendor. Its software robots mimic what people do in user interfaces, clicking, typing and reading screens in desktop and web applications, which makes it possible to automate work in legacy systems that have no API. Automations are built in UiPath Studio, a desktop app with low-code and code-first modes, or in the browser, and run on attended or unattended robots managed from the cloud Orchestrator or an on-premises deployment. The platform has grown to include document understanding, process mining, API integrations, test automation, and AI agents coordinated with robots and people through its Maestro orchestration layer. There is a free Community plan for individuals and small-scale use, a low-cost Basic plan, and Standard and Enterprise plans for organisations with a trial or sales contact. RPA programmes need governance and maintenance, since UI changes can break robots, and enterprise licensing is expensive. Studio runs on Windows.
