About Blockbench

Blockbench is a 3D editor for low-poly and boxy models, best known in the Minecraft community for building custom entities, items and blocks, but also used for indie game assets and stylised art. It combines cuboid and mesh modeling with built-in texture painting, automatic UV mapping and templates, so you can paint directly on the model or in a 2D editor, and a keyframe animation editor with a graph editor for rigged models. Export options cover Minecraft Java and Bedrock formats as well as glTF, OBJ and others, and a plugin store adds more formats and tools. It is not meant for high-poly modeling, sculpting or realistic rendering. Blockbench is free for any project and open source under the GPL, and runs as a desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux or as a web app in the browser.

Best for: Minecraft creators and indie developers making low-poly models.
