About Bluevine

Bluevine is a US fintech that offers small businesses an online checking account and financing from one place. The standard checking plan has no monthly fee, no minimum balance, no overdraft fees and free standard ACH transfers, and pays interest if you meet a monthly activity goal; paid Plus and Premier plans raise the rate and cut some payment fees. Deposits sit with partner banks led by Coastal Community Bank, which spreads FDIC insurance up to $3 million per depositor. Bluevine also has bill pay and accounts-payable tools, sub-accounts, team cards and international payments. On the lending side it offers a revolving line of credit and access to term loans through partners, subject to credit approval. It runs on the web and in iOS and Android apps. It suits US-based small businesses and freelancers who want interest on cash without branch visits. Bluevine is not a bank itself, cash deposits go through retail partners, and it isn't available to businesses outside the US.

Best for: US small businesses that want fee-free online checking that earns interest.
