About DbSchema

DbSchema is a database design and management tool centred on visual diagrams. You can reverse-engineer an existing database into an interactive ER diagram, design new schemas visually, keep the design model separate from the database and then compare and deploy changes as migration scripts, and generate HTML documentation. Alongside the design tools it includes a SQL editor, a visual query builder, a relational data browser that follows foreign keys, random data generation and data loading. It works with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and SQLite as well as MongoDB and others, and can design a model before any database exists. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux from one installer. The Community Edition is free without registration, and the installer includes a 15-day trial of the top tier; Pro and Architect editions add design-model features and collaboration. Its Java interface is less nimble for quick queries, so it fits best when schema design is the main job.

Best for: Teams that design and document database schemas visually.
