About Duck.ai

Duck.ai is DuckDuckGo's private AI chat. It gives you access to a selection of models from providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, plus open models, without creating an account, and DuckDuckGo sits in the middle as a privacy proxy. It strips identifying metadata such as your IP address before passing prompts to the model provider, does not store chats on its servers by default, and has agreements that providers will not train on your conversations and will delete them after replying. Recent chats are kept on your device if you choose. Free use comes with daily limits on a set of fast models, and a DuckDuckGo subscription unlocks more capable models and higher limits. The trade-offs are fewer features than full assistants: there are no connectors or long-term memory, and model choice is curated rather than complete. It runs in any browser at duck.ai and inside the DuckDuckGo browser apps.

Best for: Privacy-minded people who want quick AI answers without an account or chat history.

  • IP address removed and chats not stored by default
