About Feeder (Android)
Feeder is an open-source Android feed reader by developer Jonas Kalderstam, distinct from the hosted feeder.co service of the same name. It keeps your subscriptions on the phone rather than in a cloud account, fetching feeds directly and syncing in the background, so there is no sign-up and no server involved. It can cache articles for offline reading, fetch full text for feeds that only provide excerpts, show notifications for chosen feeds and import or export OPML; recent versions can also sync between your own devices. It is free, ad-free and licensed under the GPL, distributed through F-Droid and Google Play. The privacy-first approach is the main appeal, and also the main limitation: there is no web or desktop version, and you can't connect it to services such as Feedly or Inoreader. It suits Android users who want a simple, private reader that just works.
Best for: Android users who want a private reader with no account or server.
