About FOREVER

FOREVER is a memory-keeping service built around the idea of permanent storage: instead of a subscription, you pay once for an amount of storage that the company promises to preserve for your lifetime plus many decades, funded by a dedicated preservation fund. Alongside storage it offers digitising of old prints, slides, film and tapes, tools for building photo books and other printed products, and sharing with family. Subscription plans are also available for people who prefer lower up-front costs. It runs on the web with iOS and Android apps. The model is unusual and the promise depends on the company keeping its guarantee over generations, which is impossible to verify today, so treat it as one copy among several. Prices for permanent storage are high per gigabyte compared with regular cloud plans.

Best for: Families preserving digitised heirloom photos for future generations.
