About Gopeed
Gopeed is a download manager written in Go with a Flutter interface, so the same app runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, and it can also run as a Docker or NAS service with a web UI. It handles ordinary HTTP downloads with multiple threads, and it also takes torrents, magnet links and ed2k links, which means one client can replace both a classic download accelerator and a basic torrent app. Browser extensions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox hand captured downloads to the app. A JavaScript extension system adds site-specific downloaders written by the community, for things like video sites, Hugging Face models and file hosts. There's also a REST API for scripting and remote control from another device. The whole project is free and GPL-licensed, with no paid tier or ads. It suits people who want one cross-platform downloader for both direct links and peer-to-peer files, and who don't mind that its torrent features are simpler than a dedicated BitTorrent client.
Best for: People who want one free downloader for direct links and torrents on every device they use.
