About Gumroad
Gumroad lets creators sell ebooks, courses, software, templates, music, art and memberships without building a store. You create a product page, upload files or set up a subscription, and share the link or your Gumroad profile; Gumroad handles checkout, delivery, receipts and, in many countries, sales tax as merchant of record. There is no monthly fee: Gumroad takes a percentage plus a small fixed fee per sale, and a much larger cut when buyers find you through its Discover marketplace. Email updates to customers, affiliates, discount codes and simple analytics are included. It is ideal for starting out, but the fees become significant as revenue grows, and storefront design and marketing tools are basic compared with Shopify or dedicated course platforms. It runs in the browser.
