commercetools is a cloud commerce platform for large enterprises that pioneered the MACH approach: microservices, API-first, cloud-native and headless. Instead of a storefront, it provides APIs for products, carts, orders, pricing, promotions and multiple stores and channels, which teams combine with their own frontends, CMS, search and payment services. Global retailers, manufacturers and B2B companies use it to run many brands, regions and channels on one backend. It scales to very large volumes and is highly flexible, but it is expensive, priced by contract, and needs strong in-house or agency engineering to assemble the full stack. A free trial lets you explore the platform before talking to sales. It runs in the cloud.
