About Ecwid

Ecwid, owned by Lightspeed, is an ecommerce platform built to be embedded. You set up products and checkout once, then add the store to an existing website on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or plain HTML, sell on Facebook, Instagram and marketplaces, or use its simple Instant Site builder. The same catalogue and orders sync everywhere, and mobile apps let you manage the shop and sell in person. It suits businesses that already have a website they like and do not want to migrate. Ecwid does not charge setup or transaction fees on any plan, and plans are month-to-month, but the cheapest tier is limited, and its storefront design options are basic compared with a dedicated store theme. Prices vary by currency. It runs in the browser.

Best for: Businesses that want to add a store to an existing website or social profiles.
