About Ilograph
Ilograph is a diagrams-as-code tool for explaining complex software systems. You define resources and their relationships once in a YAML-based language with autocomplete, then build multiple perspectives on that model, such as a dependency view, a data-flow view or a deployment view. Viewers can click between perspectives, zoom into individual components and step through interactive sequence diagrams that highlight key flows, which suits large distributed systems better than one static picture. Layout is automatic, and built-in AWS, Azure and GCP icons are included. It runs in the browser, as an offline desktop app for teams that cannot use the cloud, and as a Confluence Cloud app. There is a free personal tier, paid Pro and Team plans, and a separately priced desktop edition with a free trial. The interactive format is its strength but also means diagrams are less useful as static images in slides or PDFs.
Best for: Engineers explaining large distributed systems to different audiences.
