About Lexware Office
Lexware Office, sold as lexoffice until it was renamed, is Lexware's cloud bookkeeping product for freelancers and small businesses in Germany. It combines invoicing and e-invoicing, receipt capture by photo or email, bank connections with automatic matching, VAT pre-returns sent through ELSTER, cash-basis profit statements and, on the top tier, payroll. Tax advisers can get free online access to a client's account, and data can be handed to the adviser's office directly, which matters in a country where most small businesses work with one. It is GoBD-certified and marketed as GDPR-compliant. Plans are monthly subscriptions in several sizes, cancellable monthly, often discounted for the first months, and there is a free trial. It runs in the browser with a mobile app. Like sevDesk, it is built for German rules and in German, so it is not an option for businesses elsewhere.
