About sevDesk
sevDesk is a German accounting app for freelancers, sole traders and small businesses in Germany and Austria. It covers quotes and invoices, including e-invoices in ZUGFeRD and XRechnung formats now required in Germany, receipt capture, bank connections with automatic matching, cash-basis profit statements, VAT returns sent to the tax office, and exports for tax advisers in DATEV format. A free plan lets you write a few e-invoices a month, and paid tiers add unlimited invoicing, bookkeeping and tax features for a monthly fee shown excluding VAT; longer commitments are discounted. The interface and support are in German. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. It is a poor fit for businesses outside the DACH region, and companies that need double-entry balance sheets at scale may outgrow it or hand more work to a tax adviser.
Best for: Freelancers and small businesses in Germany that want invoicing and tax-ready books.
