About Mealime
Mealime was a mobile meal-planning app that picked quick recipes to fit your diet, allergies and dislikes, then produced a grocery list sorted by store section and walked you through cooking with step-by-step instructions. Its recipes were mostly around 30 minutes, which made it popular with people learning to cook and busy households. The app was free, with a Pro subscription for extra recipes, nutrition details and more planning options. Albertsons Companies acquired Mealime in 2021, and the company discontinued the app on 21 October 2026. Its recipes and team moved to Meals Hub, a free recipe and meal-planning section inside Albertsons Companies grocery store apps and websites such as Safeway, which still works outside their store areas. Former users who don't want a supermarket app can move to an independent recipe manager or meal planner instead. Mealime ran on iPhone and Android, and personal data is deleted at shutdown, so there is nothing left to export.
Best for: Former users looking for a replacement for personalised weekly meal plans and sorted grocery lists.
