About Minder
Minder is a free, open-source mind mapping app for Linux desktops, built with GTK. It offers keyboard-centric editing, automatic layouts, themes, node images, notes, tasks with progress, callouts, node groups, stickers and tags, plus quick entry for typing a whole outline at once and a brainstorming mode for capturing loose ideas. Nodes can contain embedded LaTeX and tables, and maps can be connected with links across branches. It exports to a wide range of formats, including FreeMind, Freeplane, Xmind 8, OPML, Markdown, Mermaid, PDF and images, so maps can move to other tools. It is licensed under the GPL-3.0 and maintained as a small independent project. Minder fits nicely on a modern GNOME-style desktop, but it is Linux-only and has no cloud sync or collaboration.
Best for: Linux users who want a modern, native mind mapping app.
