About MindMup

MindMup is a straightforward mind mapping tool that runs in the browser, with a native desktop app for offline work. It is popular in schools that use Google Workspace because maps can be stored in Google Drive, kept only there to satisfy compliance rules, and opened from Drive like any other file, and organisations can enforce Google or Microsoft single sign-on. Maps support attachments, images, notes, keyboard-driven editing, storyboards and presentations, and can be published or shared. The free tier is genuinely usable for small maps; Personal, Team and Organisation plans are inexpensive annual subscriptions that unlock unlimited maps, attachments, real-time collaboration and SSO. MindMup keeps things simple, which is its appeal, but it has fewer themes and layouts than Xmind, and the visual style is plain.
