About MindView

MindView, from Danish company MatchWare, is mind mapping software aimed at business, education and assistive-technology users. Maps can be turned into Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel sheets and Microsoft Project plans with a click, which makes it popular for essay planning, reports and proposals, and built-in timelines and Gantt charts handle project planning without another tool. A research toolbar can clip images, text, video and audio into a map. A dedicated MindView AT edition supports people with dyslexia and other learning differences, with integration with screen readers, speech-to-text and Dragon, and it is commonly provided through UK Disabled Students' Allowance and workplace schemes. It runs on Windows and Mac, with an online version, and is sold as a licence after a free trial. MindView is practical for document-heavy work, but it is pricier than consumer apps and its interface is functional rather than pretty.

Best for: Students and professionals turning mind maps into Office documents and plans.
