About Moneybird

Moneybird is an online accounting app built in the Netherlands for freelancers, sole traders and small businesses, with an English interface option and a Belgian version. It covers quotes and invoices, recurring billing, online payments, purchase invoice processing with document recognition, timesheets, bank connections and reconciliation, VAT returns and the reports a Dutch bookkeeper or accountant needs, who can be invited to work in the same administration. Plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions that scale with the size of the business, with a long free trial giving unlimited access first so you can pick a tier. It runs in the browser with mobile apps. It is a strong local fit but is built around Dutch and Belgian tax rules, so businesses elsewhere should look at Xero, Zervant or a local tool. Accountants outside the Benelux are unlikely to know it.

Best for: Dutch and Belgian freelancers and small businesses that want simple, local books.
