About Movavi Screen Recorder
Movavi Screen Recorder is a desktop app from Movavi, the maker of consumer video editors, for capturing screen, webcam and system or microphone audio. It covers the common needs of tutorial makers and people saving webinars or calls: region selection, scheduled recordings, drawing on screen during capture, showing keystrokes and mouse clicks, and quick trimming before export or sharing. It runs on Windows and macOS. The download is a trial that watermarks videos and limits features and time, and full use needs a licence, sold as a subscription with frequent discounts and bundles with Movavi's other apps. It is easier to learn than OBS and cheaper than Camtasia, but editing is basic, there is no team hosting or link analytics, and the steady upselling to Movavi bundles annoys some buyers. It suits individuals who want a straightforward paid recorder and may already use Movavi Video Editor.
Best for: Individuals who want a simple paid recorder for tutorials, calls and webinars.
