About NocoBase

NocoBase is an open-source platform for building business systems such as CRMs, ticketing, project management and ERP-style tools. You model data collections and relations, then assemble pages from blocks like tables, forms, kanban boards, calendars and charts in a WYSIWYG editor, add role-based permissions and design approval and automation workflows. Almost everything is a plugin, so developers can extend it, and recent versions add AI employees that work within the existing data model and interface rather than generating code from scratch. It connects to its own database or to external databases and APIs. The community edition is free and self-hosted; commercial editions are sold as one-time licences for lifetime use, which adds features such as custom branding, more data sources and the right to build apps for clients. It runs in the browser on your own server. It is more complex to learn than Airtable-style tools, and running it well means looking after your own server and upgrades.

Best for: Teams building self-hosted business systems that need workflows, permissions and extensibility.
