About OutSystems

OutSystems is one of the established enterprise low-code platforms, used by banks, insurers, governments and large manufacturers to build customer portals, mobile apps and core internal systems far faster than with traditional coding. Developers work in a visual IDE that models data, logic and interfaces, can drop into custom code when needed, and deploy to OutSystems' managed cloud, on-premises, private or sovereign clouds, with built-in monitoring, version control and lifecycle tooling. The current product leans into AI, with agents that help generate apps and an agentic systems layer for building AI agents into business processes. Pricing is quote-based and aimed at organisations: editions start with a set number of internal end users and grow with users and application size, while a free Personal Edition lets individuals learn the platform. It is far more than most small teams need, it requires trained developers to get the most out of it, and long-term costs and vendor lock-in should be weighed carefully.

Best for: Large enterprises building and maintaining many business-critical apps with in-house developers.
