About Saltcorn

Saltcorn is an open-source no-code platform for building database-driven web applications that you host yourself. You define tables and relationships, then create views such as lists, forms, show pages, kanban boards, calendars and charts, and combine them into pages with a drag-and-drop builder. Triggers and actions add automation, roles control access, and a plugin and module store adds themes, field types and integrations. Recent releases include an AI copilot and agent features. It runs on Node.js with PostgreSQL or SQLite, can host several tenants on one server, and is MIT-licensed with no telemetry, so there is no vendor lock-in or licence cost. It suits developers, small organisations, researchers and hobbyists who want an Airtable-meets-app-builder they fully control. Hosted options and paid support are available from the maintainers, who also accept sponsorship. The interface is plain, the community is small, and self-hosting means taking care of updates, backups and security yourself.

Best for: Developers and small organisations wanting a fully open, self-hosted database app builder.
