About NotePlan
NotePlan puts notes, tasks and your calendar in one place, built around a daily note for each day. You write in Markdown, add tasks that roll over until they're done, link notes together with backlinks, and see your calendar events and reminders beside the day's plan, so it works as both a planner and a knowledge base. Notes are stored as plain-text Markdown files and synced through iCloud, with optional sync through NotePlan's own service, and the apps work offline. Plugins, themes and templates extend it. NotePlan is a paid subscription, monthly or annual, with a short free trial, and it runs on Mac, iPhone and iPad with a web version for times you're on a PC. The trade-offs are no native Windows or Android apps, a learning curve for its task syntax, and a price that is higher than simple notes apps. It suits Apple users who plan their days in text.
Best for: Apple users who want daily notes, tasks and calendar planning in Markdown.
