About PhotoStructure
PhotoStructure is an indie photo and video library app that scans every drive and folder you point it at, removes duplicates, and builds a single organised timeline without disturbing your originals. It runs as a desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux or in Docker on a NAS, and you browse the library through a web interface from any device on your network. It watches for new files on a schedule, retries failed imports, and with the PLUS tier can copy files into tidy date-based folders, add tags and support multiple users. The free LITE edition covers the basics; PLUS is a subscription for one household with a free trial. It is made by a single developer, which means thoughtful details but slower feature work, and it does not offer phone backup apps or face recognition.
Best for: People consolidating photos scattered across many drives into one library.
