About Pocket ID
Pocket ID is a small, self-hosted OIDC provider designed to be the easiest way to add single sign-on to the apps you run yourself. Users sign in only with passkeys, stored in a password manager, phone or hardware security key, so there are no passwords to leak or reset. Admins add users and groups in a clean web UI, register OIDC clients such as Immich, Nextcloud, Jellyfin or a reverse proxy, and control which groups can reach each app. It is OpenID Connect Certified, ships as a single Docker container and needs very little configuration, which has made it popular in the homelab community as a lighter option than Keycloak or authentik. It is free and open source under the BSD 2-Clause licence. The passkey-only design is the point, but it also means it cannot serve apps that need LDAP, SAML or password logins, and it has no commercial support.
Best for: Homelabs and small teams that want passwordless SSO for self-hosted apps.
