About qutebrowser

qutebrowser is a browser for people who prefer the keyboard to the mouse. Inspired by Vim and older add-ons like Vimperator, it has a minimal interface and is controlled by modal keybindings: you scroll with hjkl, follow links by typing hint letters, and run commands from a colon prompt. It is written in Python on top of Qt's QtWebEngine, which is based on Chromium, so modern sites render well. Configuration is done in a Python file or via commands, and it supports userscripts and greasemonkey scripts, built-in host-based and adblock-list blocking, sessions and quickmarks. It does not support Chrome or Firefox extensions, and some features depend on the Qt version your system ships, which can lag on stable Linux distributions. It is free software under the GPL, available for Linux, Windows and macOS. It suits Vim users, tiling window manager fans and anyone who wants a fully keyboard-driven browser.

Best for: Vim users and keyboard-first power users.
